I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The five women use magick and their own wiles to track down a serial killer that Cassandra (the main character) had seen in a vision. It was refreshing to see an accurate portrayal of rituals, even if their magick worked a little too well to be realistic. With an herbalist and a cook in their circle, the frequent descriptions of herbs, teas and food give the entire book a very rich and hearth-y feel.

The romance involving the main character was a little too much like a Harlequin romance for me, but it was only a minor sub-plot. Scruffy the dog who talked, was a witty gem. If you enjoy Wiccan fiction, I highly recommend this book. The sequel is out, and it's as much of a joy as this one.
